United Net-Works

- An archive, network and platform for contemporary artists, artists groups, curators and cultural producers

At Kulturhuset in Stockholm, within the framework of SAM – forum for contemporary culture run by Jelena Rundqvist, United Net-Works introduced its new mobile archive, work room and meeting place designed by Birger Lipinski and Laércio Redondo and kicked off the >>United Net-Works on the road 2003-2005<< international tour.

Over 300 contemporary artists, artists groups, artists projects and independent curators from around the world participated in the project by submitting a binder with documentation of their work for the mobile archive. All these files as well as video, DVD, audio works and CD-rom presentations were available for view at Kulturhuset. It was also possible to book meetings, discuss ideas and present proposols as well as join the archive by visiting the office which was open Mon-Fri 12-7 pm, Sat – Sun 12 – 5 pm.

A screening program selected from the archive, marathon slideshow of all participants, as well as a workshop and two performances were also presented during the exhibition period.

9-10 April >>Artists Workshop<< with Thomas Broomé, Volker Eichelman, Arijana Kajfes, Ruth Maclennan, Lena Malm, Cecilia Parsberg, Denis Romanovski, Ann Rosén and Sofie Sweger to discuss issues and ideas of central interest to United Net-Works.
